MemoPryl Side Effects: Warning Signs and Who Should Ask

Quick answer

MemoPryl side effects are not listed on any bottle image we hold, so the guide is the six linked ingredients. Common ones are stomach upset, headache and nausea. The serious risks are medicine clashes and bleeding. Ask a doctor or pharmacist first, and keep taking prescribed medicine.

What side effects can MemoPryl cause?

No MemoPryl trial exists, and no warnings text appears on any bottle image we hold. So the honest answer comes from the six ingredient names linked to a sibling pack. Confirm them on your own bottle.

The common effects are mild: headache, nausea, stomach upset, gas, loose stools and dizziness (NCCIH, Supplements and Cognition) (LiverTox, Bacopa monnieri) (Cleveland Clinic, Phosphatidyl.). Most people who react notice it in the first days.

The effects that matter more are not about the capsule itself. They are about what else you take. St. John's wort can weaken many medicines (NCCIH, St. John's Wort safety), and ginkgo may raise bleeding risk (NCCIH, Ginkgo).

Natural is not the same as safe.

NCCIH points out that "natural" does not always mean safe, and that supplements can interact with medicines (NCCIH, Using Supplements Wisely).

Which ingredient causes which side effect?

Each linked name has its own pattern. The table sets them side by side, with the source for each. Amounts in MemoPryl are not printed, so we cannot say how likely any of these is for a capsule.

Which of my medicines could clash with MemoPryl?

If you take any prescription, treat a clash as possible until a pharmacist rules it out. St. John's wort alone touches antidepressants, birth control pills, warfarin, seizure drugs, some HIV, transplant and heart drugs (NCCIH, St. John's Wort safety).

FDA adds that ginkgo, warfarin, aspirin and vitamin E can each thin the blood, and taking them together may raise the chance of internal bleeding (FDA, Mixing Meds and Supplements). Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own. Keep taking it, and ask first.

Answer the five questions below, then take the result to your pharmacist.

1. Do you take any prescription medicine, or are you under a doctor's care?
2. Are you pregnant, nursing or under 18?
3. Do you take an antidepressant, birth control pills, a blood thinner, or medicine for HIV, seizures, a transplant or the heart?
4. Do you have surgery or a dental procedure coming up, a bleeding disorder, or take aspirin?
5. Are you worried about memory or thinking changes in yourself or someone close?

Which warning signs mean I should stop and call someone?

Stop the capsules and call your doctor if you get unusual bleeding, a rash, swelling or any reaction you did not expect. FDA lists allergic reactions, heart symptoms, severe stomach problems, bleeding and jaundice as serious (FDA, Report a Supplement Problem).

Serotonin syndrome is rare but urgent. It usually follows two serotonin-raising medicines taken together, and signs include agitation, fast heartbeat, diarrhea, fever and hallucinations (MedlinePlus, Serotonin syndrome). Call right away if these appear.

  • Bruising or bleeding that is new or will not stop.
  • Black stools, or blood in urine.
  • Fast heartbeat, high fever or confusion.
  • A seizure.
  • Yellow skin or eyes.
Emergency signs need emergency care.

For a seizure, chest pain or severe confusion, call 911 rather than the order desk.

Should I stop MemoPryl before surgery or a dental procedure?

Tell the surgical team about it as soon as the date is set. A clinician may ask you to stop supplements two to three weeks before a procedure (FDA, Mixing Meds and Supplements).

MSK advises that St. John's wort be discontinued at least one week before surgery or chemotherapy (MSK, St. John's Wort). Bleeding is the main reason for ginkgo (MSK, Ginkgo).

Check: put the supplement on your medicine list the same way you would a pill. Surgeons ask because they cannot see it on a chart.

What does the bottle itself say about warnings?

Nothing we can read. The images show claims, a count and the words "Dietary Supplement". They show no warnings, directions or other-ingredients line.

Tap the spots to see which parts of the label exist, then note what is absent. Your own bottle is the only source for allergy and caution lines.

Tap a number to read that part of the label.

  1. Heading

'COGNITIVE SUPPORT FORMULA*'. The asterisk points to the FDA statement, which is not shown in this image.

  2. Name

MemoPryl with a TM mark, inside a gold-edged panel. No maker line is printed on this version.

  3. Network art

A faint drawing of nodes and links. It is decoration, not an ingredient list.

  4. Claims

'Supports Focus*', 'Optimized Memory*' and 'Improves Mental Clarity*', each with the FDA asterisk.

  5. Product type

'DIETARY SUPPLEMENT'. It is not a drug.

  6. Count

'30 Capsules'. The other bottle image says 60.

Keep out of the reach of children, as with any supplement. Confirm on your bottle.

How do I report a problem or get help?

Stop using the product, get medical advice if you feel unwell, then report it. FDA takes reports through the Safety Reporting Portal at safetyreporting.hhs.gov (FDA, Report a Supplement Problem). Firms must report serious adverse events to FDA within 15 days (FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).

For an order problem, call +1 (302) 200-3480 or email [email protected] with your order ID. The website inbox, [email protected], cannot see orders. For fit questions, start with the fit check.

What is the safest way to start, if I do?

Show the bottle to a pharmacist, follow the printed directions, and watch for changes in the first week.

No dose is printed on any image we hold, so this site gives none. Write down the date and every effect, mild or not.

FAQ01

MemoPryl questions people ask

Are there side effects to taking MemoPryl?

Possibly. The bottle images list no warnings, so the guide is the linked ingredients. Mild effects include headache, nausea and stomach upset. Larger risks are medicine clashes and bleeding. Stop and call a doctor for any unexpected reaction.

Can MemoPryl upset your stomach?

It can. Several linked ingredients, including carnitine, bacopa and phosphatidylserine, are reported to cause nausea, cramps, gas or loose stools. Taking capsules as the bottle directs may help. If symptoms persist, stop and ask a clinician.

Does MemoPryl cause headaches or trouble sleeping?

Headache is listed for ginkgo, St. John's wort and phosphatidylserine, and insomnia for phosphatidylserine. Whether MemoPryl does depends on what the real bottle holds. Note when symptoms start and tell your pharmacist.

Can MemoPryl interact with antidepressants?

It might. St. John's wort, one of the six names, can weaken antidepressants and, with some, contribute to serotonin syndrome. Do not stop your antidepressant on your own. Ask your prescriber before any capsule.

Is MemoPryl safe to take with aspirin or warfarin?

Ask first. FDA says ginkgo, warfarin and aspirin can each thin the blood, and combining them may raise bleeding risk. Your prescriber can say whether any ginkgo is acceptable for you.

How long do MemoPryl side effects last?

No MemoPryl data exists. Mild stomach or head symptoms from similar herbs often fade after stopping. Anything severe, long-lasting or involving bleeding, rash or confusion needs prompt medical care.

Where can I report a bad reaction to MemoPryl?

Report it to FDA through the Safety Reporting Portal at safetyreporting.hhs.gov, after you stop the product and seek care. For an order issue, call +1 (302) 200-3480 with your order ID.
