Supplement Label Warnings: Where They Hide
Supplement label warnings usually sit on the back panel, beside the Supplement Facts box, or in small type near the base. Read them before the first capsule. For MemoPryl, no warnings text is printed on any image we hold, so the bottle that arrives must be read in full.

Where do supplement label warnings hide?
Mostly on the back or the side, in the smallest type on the bottle.
The front carries the claim. The warnings sit elsewhere: next to the facts panel, under the directions, on a peel-back flap or on the box.
Scan in this order: the facts panel, the "other ingredients" line, the directions, then any boxed caution. If a line says "consult your physician", that is a warning, not decoration.
- Back panel, beside the facts box
- Under the directions line
- Peel-back flap or outer carton
- Safety seal or neck band
What do the common warning lines mean?
Each stock line points to a real risk, even when the wording sounds routine.
| Line on the bottle | Plain meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Consult your physician | Check before use if you take medicine | Ask a pharmacist |
| If pregnant or nursing | Not tested for you | Ask your provider first |
| Keep out of reach of children | Capsules can look like candy | Store up high |
| Discontinue if reaction occurs | Stop and call a professional | Report serious reactions |
NCCIH advises following the label, and stopping a supplement and contacting your provider if you have side effects (NCCIH, Using Supplements Wisely).
What is the FDA disclaimer with the asterisk?
It is a legal line, not a safety warning. It says FDA has not evaluated the claim.
Structure/function claims need a disclaimer that the product is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease (FDA, Structure/Function Claims). The asterisk after "Supports Focus*" points to it.
Do not mistake it for a caution about medicines or side effects. Those lines are separate, and they matter more for your day-to-day safety.

See packsWhich warnings matter if I take other medicine?
The ones about interactions, surgery and pregnancy. Few labels print them clearly.
FDA says ginkgo, warfarin, aspirin and vitamin E can each thin the blood, and that St. John's wort can weaken several types of medicine (FDA, Mixing Meds and Supplements). A label that names neither may still contain them. Check the ingredient list, not only the caution box.
Keep taking any prescribed medicine, and ask your doctor or pharmacist before you start a new supplement.

- Heading
'COGNITIVE SUPPORT FORMULA*'. The asterisk points to the FDA statement, which is not shown in this image.
- Name
MemoPryl with a TM mark, inside a gold-edged panel. No maker line is printed on this version.
- Network art
A faint drawing of nodes and links. It is decoration, not an ingredient list.
- Claims
'Supports Focus*', 'Optimized Memory*' and 'Improves Mental Clarity*', each with the FDA asterisk.
- Product type
'DIETARY SUPPLEMENT'. It is not a drug.
- Count
'30 Capsules'. The other bottle image says 60.
What do the MemoPryl images show about warnings?
Nothing. No warnings text is printed on any MemoPryl image we hold.
We also see no directions, storage line or Supplement Facts panel. Two bottle labels exist, and they do not match. The supplement facts page sets them side by side.
Next step: when your bottle arrives, read every panel and compare it with the side effects page. If a warnings line is missing, email [email protected] before you start.

FAQ01
MemoPryl questions people ask
Are supplement manufacturers required to print warnings?
Labels must carry certain required statements, but there is no single universal warnings box. Many bottles print only a short caution, so read the whole bottle and ask a pharmacist.
What should I do if there is no warning on my supplement bottle?
Do not treat silence as safety. Ask your pharmacist about each ingredient, and ask the seller for a full label. Stop the product and call a professional if you react.
Which agency takes a supplement complaint?
FDA says to stop using the product at once and submit a report through its Safety Reporting Portal. Serious reactions include allergic reactions, bleeding and heart symptoms.
