Phosphatidylserine Dosage in Studies: Numbers and Limits
Phosphatidylserine dosage in studies is usually reported as 100 mg or 300 mg a day. One small trial used both for six months. Those are research numbers, not advice. A capsule with no printed amount cannot be matched to them at all, so check the panel first.

What phosphatidylserine dosage did the trial use?
The trial gave soy phosphatidylserine at 100 mg a day to one group and 300 mg a day to another, for six months.
It enrolled 78 adults aged 50 to 69 who had memory complaints. Seventy-three finished. A placebo group was included, and nobody knew who got what (Kato-Kataoka 2010, soy PS trial).
The results were modest. Scores rose in every group, including placebo. Gains over the starting point showed up only in people who began with lower memory scores, mainly on delayed word recall. Across the whole sample, one memory test showed no difference from placebo.
Is there a typical phosphatidylserine dose?
Cleveland Clinic cites 100 to 200 mg a day as a typical adult intake. That is a description, not a prescription.
Notice the gap. The trial went up to 300 mg, while the clinic cites a range topping out at 200 mg. No single "right" amount has been settled, because the evidence is thin.
Higher amounts do not come with a safety promise (Cleveland Clinic, Phosphatidyl.).
Trial capsules were made and checked for the trial. A retail capsule may differ in source, purity and strength. Follow the directions printed on your own bottle, and ask a pharmacist if you are unsure.
How do trial amounts compare with a bottle?
You can only compare them if the bottle prints a milligram figure per serving. Many labels print it only as part of a blend, and some print nothing.
A figure on the label is the company's statement, not a lab result (FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).

FAQ01
MemoPryl questions people ask
How many milligrams of phosphatidylserine are in MemoPryl?
The amount is not printed on any image we have, so the honest answer is unknown. Six ingredient names are linked to MemoPryl through a sibling pack, but no milligram figure is attached to any of them. Read your bottle's panel.
Does more phosphatidylserine work better?
There is no evidence in the cited trial that a higher amount worked better. Across the whole sample, one memory test showed no difference from placebo. More of a supplement can also mean more side effects, so higher is not safer.
How long did the phosphatidylserine trial last?
The trial lasted six months and used 100 mg or 300 mg a day. It enrolled 78 adults aged 50 to 69 with memory complaints, and 73 finished. That is a small, short study, so treat it as a hint.
